Danger to the Community

"Danger to the community" is a vague term used in immigration bond proceedings to denote someone an immigration judge feels should not be released from detention. It usually applies to detained people with a criminal record. Even if a detained person has a criminal record, they can present evidence to show that they are not a danger to the community. It is helpful to have a knowledgeable immigration attorney to help determine what evidence should be used.
